The Ecuador Galapagos group is off to a great start and doing well. Everyone is enjoying getting to know each other and WOW, their first few days have been packed with activity! The group has already hike Cuicocha and Fuya Fuya, two challenging hikes, but the group conquered them both with excitement and plenty of energy. On the Cuicocha hike the group ended with a 20 minute silent solo hike to take time to reflect on their first few days.
In addition to hiking, the group visited a local school in Otavolo where they planned and facilitated games for the children. They all had so much fun at the school, it was a highlight for everyone. Yesterday the group visited a weaving cooperative where everyone tried their hand at weaving. Check out some of the pictures below to see their masterpieces! Looking back earlier in the week, they visited the Museo Intiñan at the Equator and enjoyed a few fun science experiments there.
Today the group will wrap up the day with a Spanish class and a variety show at a bonfire. Alison and Dan are confident that all students will be performing: they are looking forward to a few musical acts, comedy, and more!
Check back soon for an update from the students, we are expecting one in the next couple of days.
