why Global Routes?

The Experience

During Global Routes programs, we see boundaries and perceived differences between students and communities drift away. They’re replaced by common ground, goodwill, and insights that students will continue harvesting for the rest of their lives.

Since 1967, we’ve been designing experiential education programs that are about true exchange and positive impact. Decades of experience teach us that living and working with people around the world challenges people to open up, listen more, and undergo powerful personal growth.

We believe that a grounded, fun, and community-driven experience is not only the best way to travel, but the ideal way to help future leaders shape their own ideals, perspectives, and sense of self. Decades of experience teach us that living and working with people around the world challenges people to open up, listen more, and undergo powerful personal growth.

"Wow. 10 out of 10. The leaders are so skilled in both travel AND teenagers. I can't imagine a better experience for my kid. And neither can he. He came back stronger, smarter, kinder, more confident, and more capable. His anxiety is way down. His joy is up. He discovered he loves travel, friends, adventure, and service more than he loves screens. Hallelujah!! It's not a cushy trip; they had some hard experiences, but I have never seen my child more alive and present. Bravo Global Routes!!! đź‘Źđź‘Ź"

“After this program, I want to be more conscious about my waste (water, food, electricity, etc.), I want to be kinder to my family and spend more time with them, I want to rely on screens less, I want to be a better version of myself, and I want to travel more even if it's not a fancy vacation in touristy areas. The trip gave me a close-up view of how different lifestyles are in different parts of the world, and taught me that I could stand to be a bolder, more generous, kinder, and more flexible person.”

“We have the highest opinion of Global Routes. Two years in a row we have sent our kids and your program has consistently been outstanding. My other two children cannot wait to be old enough to join your program, and I want to go too!”
