The group is doing great in the host community of Wakra Urcu! They are working hard at the project site and have their sights set on laying the foundation towards the end of this week. The sweetest short-cut has been discovered by the group for their daily walk between their homestay families houses and the work site. As our leader Dan described “it’s the most beautiful commute that ever existed!” The group has been relishing in a gorgeous walk every morning through nature, instead of on the road, which has been a wonderful way to start their day.
If you haven’t read our last blog post about the weekend excursion that the group took to the volcanic crater – please check it out! The group worked together to write a beautiful account about their hiking experience.
The group continues to enjoy daily rituals of morning meetings including fun games, working on writing exercises to account for all that they are experiencing in the homestay community and on the worksite and alternating days of yoga and mindfulness exercises. New secondary projects are being brainstormed to complete this weekend before the group’s farewell to the Wakra Urcu community next week.
