Adventures in Costa Rica Begin Again!

As our Nepal, Caribbean, and 4 Week Costa Rica trips draw to a close, we are so excited to be welcoming this summer’s final class of Global Routes travelers to Costa Rica! In our unique 2-week trip to Costa Rica, our travelers will get to enjoy all the core aspects of a Global Routes trip – service, community engagement, self-growth, and adventure – in a shorter time frame.

Our two week travelers arrived to Costa Rica this week, and already have many adventures to report! The group met in San Jose – thankfully with no travel delays! – and headed straight to the rainforest for some adventure and bonding.

The group has also been really excited about all of the fresh food and beautiful plants they’ve encountered along the way. Here’s the group at dinner at the RAC, and a few shots of the local flora they’ve captured!

Cacao – and its final product, chocolate – have a long history in Costa Rica. Our students had the opportunity to help make some chocolate by hand, and enjoy it on local bananas for a little evening snack. Take a look!

Finally, because only they can tell it best, take a look at their report from the first few days in their own words!
