Summer Search Final Days in Ecuador

Greetings from the Amazon! This blog is coming to you from Haljazir and Jasmin. Since the last blog, we transferred from Pete’s farm Finca La Fe to our home stays in Pucara, where we were welcomed with open arms. On our first day of service work, we were divided into two groups. The first group learned about coffee picking while the others learned about farm chores.

Summer Search in Ecuador!

Hola! If you’ve been following our journey in Ecuador you know we were last in Peguche. While there we hiked up a dormant volcano (Lake Cuicocha), shopped in the renowned Otavalo Market, and learned about dream catchers from one of the Homestay parents. With a mix of getting to know the locals and playing more soccer in our free time.

Phoebe and Kyli wrote a special blog to share their heartfelt experiences of their homestay in Costa Rica, immersing in the Pura Vida way of life, forming connections with their host families, and embracing the warmth and kindness of the community.
