Costa Rica 2018: Farewell to Homestay, and Embarking on Final Travel!

Our Costa Rica students had a fabulous homestay – they built a community kitchen for the community building, created a beautiful garden, painted an out-of-this-world mural and developed deep friendships within their host-families and throughout their community! To celebrate a successful completion of this portion of the program, our students had a big celebration, which included a lot of dancing!

After a tearful farewell to Llano Savegre and their host families, the students began the adventure-based final travel portion of the program. So far, the group has kicked final travel off with a white-water rafting trip and a full day of surf lessons in Uvita! We wish them the best as they wrap up their program in the next two days, and we’re excited to hear all the stories they bring back!

Returning Home: Recap of our Final Adventures in Ecuador!

Hola! If you’ve been following our journey in Ecuador you know we were last in Peguche. While there we hiked up a dormant volcano (Lake Cuicocha), shopped in the renowned Otavalo Market, and learned about dream catchers from one of the Homestay parents. With a mix of getting to know the locals and playing more soccer in our free time.
