Just over half way and making progress

We enjoyed a great update from the Belize group today. Their focus remains on the project in San Antonio, though they have also enjoyed time with their host families and explorations around the region.

Everyone is involved in advancing the project quickly. With the upper half now nearing completion, Kelsey believes they will be raising the roof in the next day or two. The school principal also asked the group if they would be willing to paint signs for the school. Pedro went to San Ignacio today to order and pick up the paints and the group will share their artistic talents over the next few days as they design, draft, and paint the signs.

Yesterday, Sunday, Alex and Kelsey decided to switch things up a little, and took the group out of San Antonio hiking through the Rio Frio Cave and then swimming in two watering holes. With several hot days in a row, an afternoon of swimming was welcomed by all!

The group is clearly settled into their homestays and the community of San Antonio. Everyone has taken a liking to the local bakery where they make fresh cinnamon rolls! Spending time with their little host siblings, playing soccer, enjoying delicious meals, and even learning to dance, the group finds ways to stay busy during their down time when no working on the project or participating in a group activity.

Just a few days left in San Antonio, so the group will be making the most of their time from here on.
