Our group that is heading to St. Vincent in The Grenadines has been working hard to make preparations to leave on multiple flights tomorrow for a great summer adventure! The group will be running a summer day camp in St. Vincent for local children so many materials were put together today to bring with them for camp in The Grenadines!
The group has been getting to know one another and establishing group norms over the past few days here at Windsor Mountain International in New Hampshire. They have participated in some camp activities here but have mostly been working on bonding as a group to form a cohesive unit. They have worked to intentionally focus on their communication skills, discussing the value of teamwork, and had time for late night swims and enjoyed the sauna at the lakefront as well! They have also brainstormed ideas for activities at the day camp that they will run in St. Vincent.
Some other activities they’ve enjoyed here in New Hampshire include playing games to learn more about each other, making a full-value contract and exploring their hopes, fears and goals for the program. The group, all with different strengths, has found specific ways to contribute to their Caribbean adventure. They are all very excited to embark on the journey tomorrow!
