Jambo from the lovely archipelago of Lamu. The group enjoyed two sailing excursions on the traditional wood boat called the Dhow. We swam, sunbathed and dined on fresh fish on the first day of Ramadhan while our muslim guides had to fast all day. A bright orange sunset lit up our night as the sun sank into the West, the direction of home. Last night we were serenaded by some beautiful arabic songs at our guest house.

The island is free of cars except for two ambulances, one for people, the other for the hardworking donkeys which transport everything from people to blocks of heavy stone that are used to build the houses.

The group also jumped at the opportunity to receive henna art on their arms and wrists and some on their faces! The group is eager for homecoming, while appreciating their final sun-filled days in Kenya.

See you all in a few days,

The Kenya crew
