Hola Mundo!!
We are officially halfway through the program! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday we were finally united at SJO airport…and we can’t believe how close we have come, how much we have bonded, how many obstacles we’ve overcome, and how much we’ve accomplished in such a short week! After the Cabalgata festival which was absolutely fascinating, we began our work on our service project constructing a new wall for the church plaza yesterday and definitely earned our rice and beans and a nice long night of sleep!
We’re onto cement mixing this morning so it’s best we focus on our project… but below is a student-written blog post highlighting our first days in the community and the importance of sharing appreciation (in the form of shooting stars) in every moment!
