While waiting in the main train station in Fes for one of our group to travel from Marrakech, we noticed that dotting each column in the hall there was a splotch of bright green.  On closer inspection, we discovered those to be anti-smoking posters:  “Respirez mieux, libérez-vous du tabac” — which translates to “Breathe better, free yourself from tobacco.”  It was refreshing to see a poster that didn’t center solely on the negative effects of smoking, but on the positive effects of quitting.  It was also refreshing to see that the campaign was led by ONCF, the Moroccan rail and telecom company that is committed, as the posters say to be an  “Entreprise sans Tabac” — “a tobacco-free company.”
