First days in Costa Rica

The group has arrived to their orientation site of San Gerardo de Rivas near the Cloudbridge Reserve! Yesterday, they took a nice long hike through a local Farm that has a swath of protected primary forest. They saw coffee plants and banana, avocado, and mango trees, and each student even planted their own tree at a lookout point over the farm.

This morning, the group is at the Cloudbridge Reserve, and this afternoon they will do some more group initiatives to get to know each other, including a cross-cultural exchange simulation and a homestay questionnaire that will give the leaders a better sense of each student’s hopes and expectations.
