After a wonderful time in the rain forest, it was time to come back to San Isidro and get ready to meet our host families. We washed some clothes, got some rest and worked as a team preparing lesson plans and sharing songs and ideas for teaching.

On Wednesday morning we took a van to meet our families, schools and communities that will be a part of us for the next three months. We were nervous but excited! After stopping at the local bread store to bring some bread and sweets to our families we were finally there! Everyone was so welcoming and happy to meet us. We are in 3 different communities: Mollejones, Bolivia and San Gerardo, each one of us living with a family from our community.

Friday we came back to San Isidro to talk about possible projects and ideas for our schools and community, wash clothes, and get ready to head to the beach on Saturday! After an hour and half bus ride we made it to the beautiful beach of Dominical in the pacific where we built a refuge made out of palms to keep us safe from the sun!

Now, back to our communities! More to come about our teaching placements and homestays next time.
