That means good day in Quechua, the native\u00a0Peruvian language. We arrived at our homestay village Munaypata, on Saturday afternoon. We were greeted by a festive welcoming\u00a0party prepared for us by our homestay families. The group was partnered\u00a0off and placed with a family. We will be staying with them for the\u00a0next three weeks while we build the salon comunal (community center).<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Every student is excited about their homestay family. Lily and Rebecca\u00a0live with 3 younger brothers, and a younger sister, as well as another\u00a0baby brother on the way. Sadie and Kate recently had an adventure\u00a0looking for their family\u00b4s lost sheep, Maria. They live with the\u00a0president of the community, his wife, and 3 children. Liliana and Eiko\u00a0claim to have the best food in town. They have banana pancakes for\u00a0breakfast. Tristan, Brad, and Sage live near the path to Ollantaytambo and went there for dinner with their host family one evening.\u00a0Emily and\u00a0Rachel love their little brother, Moisis and love to play soccer\u00a0together. Jackson and Jonah live with Gloria and Carlos, two of the\u00a0nicest people in town. Emmy and Connie have a little brother named\u00a0Samuel, who they love to play ball with. As you can see, our group is\u00a0having <em>un tiempo increible<\/em> en Peru. We began constucting our community\u00a0center this week.
