\u201cOne, two, three, four, five, six, seven\u2026\u201d chanted the three and four year olds in Arabic.\u00a0 The door of the classroom was slightly ajar and so we pushed it a little further open so we could peek inside.\u00a0 The teacher beckoned us in.\u00a0 In the center one little boy led the call and response with the other children in the kindergarten-aged class.\u00a0 As we looked around the classroom, the children looked unabashedly at us, some waving, others smiling.\u00a0 As I looked down to the children on the bench next to where I was standing, I saw that they had scooted over and were frantically patting the now-empty seat next to them, motioning for me to sit down and join their class!<\/p>\n
