“Nepal Shaped My Life in the Best Way Possible.”<\/span><\/h2>\n

Hi, my name is Jill Woodhouse, and I was a student on the 2016 Nepal trip<\/a>. Since my trip to Nepal, I have made the outdoors a major part of my life. Nepal has shaped my life in the best way possible and I wouldn\u2019t be the adventurous, outgoing, and adaptable person I am today without discovering myself on that trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forming relationships with fellow participants, leaders, homestay families, and many others along the way taught me valuable lessons that made my experience so extraordinary. I am thankful for the people on my trip that helped me further my love for travel and adventure. Hearing all their awesome stories further inspired me to be a better person and leader. Without visiting Nepal, my passion for the outdoors would not have been as strong as it is now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since Nepal, I Have Found My Passion for the Outdoors and Leadership.<\/span><\/h2>\n

After high school, I moved to Utah, where I am a Civil Engineering and Math student at Utah State University. I also work for the University\u2019s Outdoor Programs where I am a student trip leader. If I\u2019m not at the library studying, I spend my time leading day and weekend trips rock climbing, mountain biking, and backpacking all over Utah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since Nepal, I have found my passion for the outdoors and leadership and have been able to find more and more ways to develop my outdoor skills. This has included several backpacking trips, working in Lake Powell for the summer of 2018, and this upcoming summer when I will be backpacking in Alaska.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, I am thankful for the many outdoors opportunities I have been able to experience and it all started with Nepal. I am looking forward to all the other trips in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n
